Together We Will End Social Exclusion

Foundation is a charity based in the North of England that works with socially excluded people helping them to gain full independence in their local community. In 2013-2014 Foundation supported 5067 people.

Whether it is support to manage a tenancy, find a job, tackle drug addiction or improve family relationships, we help individuals overcome all kinds of challenges so they can realise their potential and become a part of their community.

Working with a diverse range of partner agencies and organisations, we have a reputation for transforming troubled lives and for the enthusiasm, commitment and quality of service which have made us one of the largest organisations in the North of England providing essential services to socially excluded groups.

Adult Offenders
In Kirklees, we have a 90 unit service for adult offenders which works in partnership with West Yorkshire Probation, Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing and other local landlords.
Swift
Kirklees offers floating support to 10 women who are offenders/at risk of offending or at risk (domestic abuse/drug misuse/have social services intervention/street working) working alongside SWEET project and EVOLVE to offer intensive support for women who have multiple and complex needs – support is for between 6 months and two years and aims to enable and empower the women to lead independent lives.
Keyturn
Keyturn is funded to provide 20 units of support in both managed and floating tenancies. The scheme targets 16 – 25 year olds who are at risk of homelessness or homeless. It assists with independent living skills, securing tenancies and accessing education/work or training as required.
YOT (Youth Offending Team)
10 units of support working with young offenders in a mix of floating and managed tenancies – customers need to be offenders or at risk of offending and have input from either youth offending team or leaving care.
