Family and Carers Support Group

Haven Kirklees developed from the desperation and despair of a number of parents/carers whose significant relatives were encountering life-changing events as a result of drug and/or alcohol use. We were searching for help, for guidance, and, above all, for answers/solutions.

What we discovered was the power of mutual support from others who understood what we were going through. From this nurturing support, we gained some of the strength we needed to continue supporting our loved ones and to maintain our search for solutions.
